Prior to the events, Marmara University hosted the panel titled "Narration and Narration in Documentary Film" in its Anadolu Hisarı Campus. Many documentaries, journalists and viewers from Turkey and abroad took part in the organization held on April 24, 2019. Vice Rector of Marmara University Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kurt made the opening speech. In his speech, Mustafa Kurt talked about the importance of media and university cooperation. He mentioned that the students who have career goal in the field of media will contribute to sector with their experiences that were gained in the collaboration processes. Director of Photography Tevfik Şenol, Director Faysal Soysal, Lecturer Dr. Elif Demoğlu, Director Zeynep Keçeciler and Director Ahmet Ferah participated in the panel as speakers.
