The TÜBA (Turkish Academy of Sciences) and TÜBİTAK (The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey) Science Awards were presented at a ceremony held at the Presidential Complex on Wednesday, December 18, accompanied by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

Assoc. Prof. Ali Erken from the Department of Middle Eastern and Islamic Studies at Marmara University was awarded the Encouragement Award in the Social and Humanities category. He received his award from President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and was congratulated by Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kurt for his achievements.
