The "2nd National Primary Healthcare Services Congress" was held at Marmara University Mehmet Genç Campus from February 27 to March 1, 2025, in collaboration with the Marmara Family Medicine Practice and Research Center (MARAHEK UYAM), Marmara University Faculty of Health Sciences, and the Marmara Health Education and Research Foundation.
The congress, organized under the theme of "Strengthening Primary Healthcare Professionals," featured the participation of the Istanbul Provincial Health Directorate Public Health Services Head and the District Health Directors of Kartal, Şişli, Sultangazi, and Çekmeköy during the opening ceremony. 291 participants from various provinces across Turkey attended the congress, with contributions from physicians, nurses, midwives, physiotherapists, nutrition and dietetics experts, psychologists, healthcare administrators, and legal professionals.
The three-day congress included a presentation by the Head of the Family Medicine Education and Monitoring Department of the General Directorate of Public Health at the Ministry of Health, who shared the latest initiatives by the Ministry of Health regarding primary healthcare and family medicine. The first day of the congress featured courses and opening sessions, the second day included conferences, panels, and workshops, and the third day consisted of additional conferences, workshops, panels, and study sessions.
The "3rd National Primary Healthcare Services Congress," which will serve as a continuation of this event, is scheduled to take place in March next year. The program for this year's congress can be accessed at www.bibak-marsev.org.
