The workshop organized by Marmara University Atatürk Faculty of Education, Istanbul Provincial Directorate of National Education, and Istanbul Teacher Academies began on Tuesday, June 25th at the Dr. İbrahim Üzümcü Conference Hall on Marmara University,  Göztepe Campus.

Prof. Dr. Seyfi Kenan, Dean of Atatürk Faculty of Education, who delivered the opening speech of the two-day event, expressed his excitement for such gatherings. Prof. Kenan emphasized that these events are valuable occasions for evaluating and debating different perspectives.

Dr. Ömer Faruk Yelkenci, Deputy Minister of National Education, stated in his speech that the workshop supports the Turkey Century Education Model with a focus on history content. Dr. Yelkenci expressed his satisfaction with having an environment where, in the words of Prof. Dr. İlber Ortaylı, they can discuss and debate these "transdisciplinary" fields.  "Through this workshop, we aim to integrate scientific and educational approaches, along with our national and spiritual values, alongside universal values," he said.

Following the opening speech, the event continued with panels and workshops.
