A Cooperation Protocol  Among Three Universities

The Workshop on Clinical and Molecular Approaches in Microbiology and Virology was held in cooperation with Istanbul University-Cerrahpaşa, Yıldız Technical University and Marmara University.

The cooperation protocol of the workshop that was held at Büyük Çekmece Campus of the Istanbul University – Cerrahpaşa Rector was signed by  Prof.Dr. Nuri Aydın, Rector of Istanblu University- Cerrahpaşa, Prof. Dr. Tamer Yılmaz, Rector of  Yıldız Technical University and Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kurt, Rector of Marmara University.

"This cooperation is not just the cooperation of three universities, but a project that will contribute to the development of Turkey", Prof. Dr. Tamer Yılmaz said in the workshop.

Prof. Dr. Nuri Aydın, on the other hand, stated that three valuable research universities came together and joined forces and that exciting results could be achieved in this workshop, perhaps held for the first time.

“One of the most important goals of this workshop, which brings together three valuable research universities and their valuable scientists, is to establish a health and biotechnology center. This is a very important initiative for our country. In the next workshop we will hold at our university, we will talk about the studies and contributions of nanotechnology in this field.” Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kurt, Rector of Marmara University, said in his speech.

In the workshop attended by many scientists from different disciplines, the study topics were determined as 'Development of new generation antibiotics, molecular diagnostic kits and their development, production of health kits with three-dimensional printers, early diagnosis of neurological diseases, mathematical calculations for future epidemics, development of molecular diagnosis platforms, ecosystem health, detection of the virus by air spray, preliminary preparation processes for new infections and nanotechnology vaccine development, creation of a genomic library of our country, modeling of experimental animals, development of diagnosis and treatments for neurodegenerative diseases, development of early warning system for epilepsy, development of wearable devices for diagnosis of epileptic seizures, the response of microbiota in autoimmune diseases and its use in treatment.”

In the upcoming period, the third workshop will be held at Marmara University in February.
