Symposium  began with the opening speeches of the  Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy Prof. Dr. Ş. Güniz Küçükgüzel and Student Chair of the Symposium Fatih Yeter.  

In the symposium, Prof. Dr. İbrahim Haznedaroğlu, Head of  Hematology Department,  Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine,  made his presentation on “Ankaferd Blood Stopper From Herb To Drug” in order to introduct the  first national herbal drug “ankaferd” with the university and industry cooperation.

Ali İbrahim Ayşakır, Business Development Manager of Zade- Vital Company that produces food supplement including herbs, made a presentation themed “Proper Solutions According To   Health Care Needs for Today and Tomorrow”.

Lecturer of Ege University, Faculty of Pharmacy, Department of Pharmaceutical Botany, Prof. Dr. Ulvi Zeybek spoke of the imnportance of the cooperation between university and industry and place of the herbal products in the pharmacy.

Lecturer of Ankara University  Faculty of Pharmacy Department of Pharmaceutical Botany Prof. Dr. Gülçin Saltan İşcan made her presentation titled “ From the Traditional Usae To Herbal Medicinal Products – From Gilaburu to Gilaburine”.

Lecturer of Istanbul University Faculty of Pharmacy Department of Pharmaceutical Botany, Prof. Dr. Emine Akalın Uruşak made her presentation titled “ Pharmacist in the Clinical  Safe Herb Usage”.

In the  symposium to which students of 16 different pharmacy faculties  gave close attention, 7  students were provided an internship oppurtunity by the companies  themed herbal product.

 The symposium ended with the giving of the certificates of attendance.
