The workshop, of which the opening speech was made by the Director of the Institute of Turkic Studies Prof. Dr. Okan Yeşilot,  was attended  74 researchers from 35 universities. Then,  the first session started under the presidency of Yeşilot. The opening session speeches were made by Prof.Dr. Ahmet Taşağıl, Prof. Dr. Hayrunnisa Alan and Lecturer Dr. Ali Ahmetbeyoğlu. In the next session, each speaker was given the right to speak separately and,  the problems and solutions encountered by young turcologists were discussed.
