Prior to the marathon, GİSK members participated in the "Volunteer Leadership and Motivation Techniques" training held in the National Olympic Village on 22 October 2017 to encourage Turkey to take part in national and international sports activities by training certified volunteers. Young Innovative Health Providers Club took charge in 6 different areas being "wheelchair, 42K, 15K, 10K, Public Run, Health Tent" at the 39th Vodafone Istanbul Marathon, which was awarded the title of "Gold Category" by International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) on November 12, 2017. Approximately 125 thousand people from 100 countries participated in the post-marathon.GİSK team received certificates and medals from the organizational authorities.
