The "University-Industry Cooperation and Professional Training Colleges " seminar organized by Marmara University Vocational School of Technical Sciences Design Department was held on January 14, 2022, at Marmara University Mehmet Genç Kulliye Conference Hall.
The importance of the ready-made clothing industry in the world and in Turkey and the future of the industry were discussed in the seminar attended by Mustafa Gültepe, President of Istanbul Ready-to-Wear and Apparel Exporters' Association (İHKİB), as a speaker. Gültepe, who conveyed the changes and transformations that took place in the sector with the carbon footprint, sustainability and green agreement issues, informed the youth about the new professions that will emerge in the future. Mentioning the international projects carried out by İHKİB and the educational opportunities it offers to students, Mustafa Gültepe made guiding recommendations to increase the skills of the students at the seminar.
In the last part of the seminar, the questions of Vocational School students about the sector were answered by Jale Tunçel, Vice Chairman of İHKİB Board of Directors, İlker Karataş, Member of Board of Directors and Süleyman Çakıroğlu, Secretary-General of İHKİB Education Foundation.
At the event, in which the University-Industry Cooperation Protocol was signed between Technical Sciences Vocational School and Talu Tekstil San.Tic. A.Ş., a certificate of appreciation was presented by Mustafa Ay to the İHKİB President Mustafa Gültepe.
