Prof. Dr. Ahmet Oğuzhan Özen of the Marmara University Faculty of Medicine Head of Pediatric Allergy-Immunology Department was deemed worthy of the Turkish Health Institutes Presidency (TÜSEB) Service Award.

Within the scope of the 8th Turkish Medical World Congress, organized under the auspices of the Presidency and hosted by the Ministry of Health, the 2022 TÜSEB Awards, which were given for the 6th time this year in the behalf of the Nobel Prize-winning Turkish scientist Prof. Dr.   Aziz Sancar, found their owners. The awards were presented to the winners by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. Prof. Dr. İbrahim Halil Kavaklı of the Koç University received 2022 TÜSEB Aziz Sancar Science Award while Prof. Dr. Ahmet Oğuzhan Özen of the Marmara University received 2022 TUSEB Service Award and Prof. Dr. Aykut Özdarendeli of the Erciyes University awarded the  2022 TUSEB Special Award.

2022 TÜSEB Incentive Awards are given to Prof. Dr. İbrahim Tarık Özbolat (Penn State University and Çukurova University), Prof. Dr. Özge Çevik (Adnan Menderes University),  Assoc. Prof. Sedat Nizamoğlu (Koç University), Assoc. Prof. İsmail Öçsoy (Erciyes University),  Assoc. Prof. Tunca Doğan ( Hacettepe University).

Our Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kurt congratulated  Prof. Dr. Ahmet Oğuzhan Özen for his success and presented him with a certificate of appreciation. In his speech, Mustafa Kurt said, “Marmara University, which took its place among the Research Universities in 2021, will always support scientific and academic studies and mobilize all opportunities. I congratulated Prof.Dr. Ahmet Oğuzhan Özen, esteemed academician of our Faculty of Medicine, for his contributions to human health, and I would also like to thank him for setting an example for our young academics.”
