The workshop was attended by famous Russian Turcologists; Prof. Dr. Viktor Grigoryeviç Guzev, Assoc.Prof.  Nikolay Nikolaeviç Telitsin, Prof. Dr. İrina Nikolaevna Novikova, Prof. Dr. Efim Anatolyeviç Rezvan and  Prof. Dr. Aleksandr Antonoviç Kolesnikov. The workshop began with the opening speech of Director of Turkic Studies Institute Prof. Dr. Okan Yeşilot and continued with the speech of Dmitry Evdokimov, Consul General of Russia in Istanbul. Russian Turcologists took place in the morning  session with their speeches while other turcologists from Marmara University, Istanbul University, Beykent University, National Defence University, Gebze Technical University, Istanbul Şehir University, Istanbul Medeniyet University,Yeditepe university, Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University and German Orient Institute made their presentation in the afternoon session. Besides mutual negotiations, it was emphasized on the Turcology studies in Russia,   Russian Turcologists and Russian studies in Turkey in recent years. The proposals about development of cooperation between two countries, joint projects, student and personel mobilities, using of museums and archives were also  evaluated in the workshop.
