At the programme held in the IMM Ali Emiri Efendi Culture Center, Prof.Dr. Salih Tuğ praised the remarks, saying: "When I look at myself I see a person who has not made a lot of things in the name of the culture, art and university. I assume myself as a soldier of academic community. I have tried to take all responsibilities given to me; and I am honoured to have the responsibility of working in an academic field.”

Tuğ, saying that it is considered important to make a fidelity and memorial programs in the culture centers of municipalities,  also stated : “It is a really important thing to remember living persons who have made a lot of things for the society, science and history.  In my social relations besides my  academic studies,  I have the aim, in both associations and foundations of which I have a membership, of introduction of  the living serving people in order to encourage and please them instead of memorializing a deceased person.”

It was organised a panel in which Tuğ’s intelligences and preceptors was explained as well as his story life and Dr. Emin Işık, Dr. Emin Eriş, Nihat Bozkurt and Prof. Dr. İbrahim Kafi Dönmez participated as speakers in that event.

A visual presentation in which Prof. Dr. Salih Tuğ’s life took  place was also introduced  to the participants.
