The final for the Texture Design Competition that organised by İTHİB Istanbul Textile and Raw Materials Exporters’ Association and supported by Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM) and T.C. Ministry of Economy was held for the nineth on 25 December 2014. Gökçe ÖZKULAK who is studying in M.Ü.Fine Arts Faculty, Textile Design Department was awarded for the first prize.
Since 2005, ten finalist were selected this year at the Texture Design Competition that aiding to promote the foreing power of Turkish textile sector, increase the desires of creating and selling of unique design and and bring the talented youth in sector. Designs of the finalists were presented to the domestic and foreign press member, academicians and jury that consisted of the members of ITHIB guiding the textile industry.
The result of the assessments of the jury, Gökçe OZKULAK,who is final year undergraduate student at M.U.Fine Arts Faculty Textile Design Department, was awarded for the first prize with her design named “Esthetic of the Chaos” . OZKULAK became entitled to receive one year’s study abroad and monetary prize. Awarded for the first prize for the competition which he participated for the first time,Elif Gökçe OZKULAK is seventh term student of Branch of Weaving Art, M.U.Fine Arts Faculty, Textile Department. When she went to Italy as a student in the period of 2012-2013 through Erasmus Programme, she worked in Accademia di Belle Arti di Verona and underwent training at Bahariye Mensucat, Mavi ve Sanlı Tekstil. OZKULAK also carried out the weaving projects of three term with Prof.Günay Atalayer who is one of our university lecturers.
