Following the individual and collective evaluation of all the projects by the jury members, the most successful projects of the world of entertainment and recreation were identified. This year; In the area of social responsibility project of the year, Martı (Lightning from Marmara Recreation Therapy) Community founded by Marmara University Faculty of Sport Sciences students; The sponsorship of Polin Waterpark, the sponsorship of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Youth and Sports Directorate, the support of the Sports Istanbul ice skating instructors and the participation of disabled people connected to the Spinal Cord Paralysis Association was awarded the sustainable and stakeholder project award on 19 December 2018 at the Silivrikapi Ice Rink with the event ‘’Overcoming Obstacles, We are at the ice rink.’’
On the premiere night, Dean of the Faculty of Sport Sciences Prof.Dr. Salih Pınar,Dean Assist. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Veysel Küçük, Project Coordinator and Faculty Member of the Faculty of Sport Sciences Tayfur Özkan and the student of the Faculty of Sport Sciences a member of the Martı Group Gizem Işık represented our University.
Dean Salih Pınar expressed his pride in supporting such projects and thanked all the stakeholders of the Project in his speech.
The second phase of the project will continue with the participation of different disability associations, the meeting of the disabled and the volunteers and the provision of ice-slip training.
