The project entitled “The Use of Plant Tannins in the Treatment of  Smart Wound Dressing”, under the supervision of  Prof. Dr. Mehmet Akalın, Vice Rector and lecturer of Marmara University, Department of Textile Engineering  and carried out by Dr.  Muhammet Uzun was awarded the Third Prize in the “The Best Research from a Developing Country Award” category at the Journal of Wound Care Award 2016.
