Opening speech of the symposium was made by Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy Prof. Ş. Güniz Küçükgüzel. Academicians coming from all over the country also attended the symposium whose session moderator was Prof. Göksel Şener. Prof. Erdem Yeşilada, Prof. İlkat Erdoğan Orhan, Prof. İrem Çankaya, Prof. Ercüment Karasulu, Prof. Levent Kabasakal, Assoc. Sevda Süzgeç Selçuk, Assoc. Prof. Gizem Bulut, Assoc. Prof. Ayfer Beceren, Pharmacist Expert Fatma Henden, Pharmacist Expert Güzide Zehra Dişli Yazar and Pharmacist Expert Hülya Kayhan Eryılmaz attended the symposium as speakers. In the symposium where people were informed about common misconceptions in phytotherapy, orthodox practices in phytotherapy, homeopathy, regulations on herbal medicines, and topics such as Turkey’s conventional home remedy herbs, medicinal teas, aromatherapy, current phytotherapeutic herbs were also discussed.
