The project contest of Ne Üretelim 2016 is organized annually by the Department of Chemical Engineering of İzmir Institute of Technology. This year, the 12th National Chemical Engineering Congress (UKMU2016) was held on August 25, 2016 at Wyndham Grand Hotel İzmir.

The contest was held with about 108 students’ participation and 36 undergraduate and 19 graduate projects were evaluated by the 29 membered jury consisting of academicians and industrialists.

After this evaluation, collaborative work entitled “Zirkonyum Silikattan Saf Zirkonyum Oksit Üretimi” of Çağrı Eyüboğlu, Özge Doğan, Şevval Kazak and Elif Nur Avcı from MC365 group representing Marmara University in counseling of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Serdar Aktaş was deemed worthy of an award. We wish our students and the advisor Assoc. Prof. Dr. Serdar Aktaş a continued success.
