Within the the social responsibility project carried out by Assoc.Prof. Nuran Akyurt of the Marmara University, Vocational School of Health Services, Department of Medical Services and Techniques, a workshop on Breast Health and Breast Self-Examination (BSE) was held on November 27, 2022.
Breast Health and Breast Self-Examination (BSE) is a self-examination method for women to detect shape changes in breast tissue and to recognize breast cancer in its early stage. It is a comfortable, non-invasive method that does not require any tools. The members of the Istanbul-Çorum Üçköylüler Social Assistance and Solidarity Association showed great interest in the informative workshop on the early diagnosis of breast cancer, the most common type of cancer among women. The workshop was also carried out on a male volunteer participant.
The event ended with a question and answer session and a group photo shoot.
