'Qualified Technician Employment Solution Project' BASPÖ (Printing and Packaging Industry Project Student) Workshop, aimed at introducing, encouraging, disseminating and increasing the reputation of high schools providing vocational and technical education and informing society about the job and career opportunities of these high schools to young people, was held at Marmara University on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, under the leadership of the Faculty of Applied Sciences.

The project whose main stakeholders are the Istanbul Provincial Directorate of National Education and Printing Industry Education Foundation (BASEV) also was supported by the O 27th Professional Committee, Printing Education Alumni Association (MEMDER), Cardboard Packaging Manufacturers Association (KASAD), Label Industrialists Association (ESD), Anatolian Side Printing Packaging and Suppliers Association (MATDER) and various non-governmental organizations.

In the first session of the workshop, which was held in two sessions, Marmara University Faculty of Applied Sciences Dean Prof. Dr. Sibel Kılıç, Istanbul Provincial Deputy Director of National Education Hüseyin Aydın, BASEV Chairman of the Board Murat Demir, Marmara University Faculty of Applied Sciences Lect. Prof. Dr. Cem Aydemir, ISO 27th Professional Committee Chairman Emre Duran and MEMDER Chairman of the Board Assoc. Prof. Doğan Tutak informed the participants by explaining the project processes in detail.

In the second session of the workshop, Economic Journalists Association President Recep Erçin, ESD Deputy Chairman Murat Olcay, KASAD Secretary General Erol Gül, ISO 27th Professional Committee Member Zekeriya Acar, Niyazi Bilir and Mehmet Akif Kazmaz made their speeches on behalf of stakeholders and supporting institutions.

Teachers, students and parents also contributed with their speeches to the workshop.  The workshop ended with the reading of the final declaration.
