Prof. Dr. Ahmet Oğuzhan Özen, Head of  Allergy Immunology Department at Marmara University Faculty of Medicine Department of Child Health and Diseases,  continues to make an impact in the world with his researches for the treatment of CHAPLE Syndrome, the dangerous disease of childhood.

Prof. Dr. Ahmet Oğuzhan Özen was awarded the "EFIS Publication Award" in the competition of the European Federation of Immunology Societies (EFIS). The “EFIS Publication Award” was given to him at the closing ceremony of the ECI2021 Congress, which took place recently. Özen said that this award is an important success for our country.

The treatment of CHAPLE Syndrome, which was also diagnosed by Ahmet Oğuzhan Özen in 2017,  was discovered by Özen and announced to the world. International studies with the participation of more than 40 researchers from around the world were completed under the leadership of Marmara University. One hundred percent success is now achieved with the treatment of CHAPLE syndrome, which is one of the rare pediatric diseases and can lead to death.
