Classical Turkish Music Awards , organized by the Beyoğlu Municipality and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism General Directorate of Fine Arts, was held in Cemal Reşit Rey Hall, on February 2, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. Prof.  Dr. Ahmet Hakkı Turabi, a lecturer of Faculty of Theology at Marmara University, was deemed worthy of  the "Turkish Music Academician of the Year" in the award ceremony that was hosted by a program named “Makam Farkı” which is broadcasted by the private tv channel Ntv.
