This year's theme of the “Science and Culture Days” has been determined as the newly found copy of the Book of Dede Korkut, one of the greatest treasures of Turkish Language and Turkish Culture.
Within the scope of the panel, the valuable names of the literary community, including Veli Muhammed Hodja, who found the new copy and Nasser Khaze Shahgoli and Valiolllah Yaghoobi, who presented the book to the realm of knowledge by conducting research on this copy, were hosted by our Turkish Language and Literature Department.
Prof.Dr. Mehmet Aça of Marmara University and Prof.Dr. Abdülkadir Emeksiz of İstanbul University participated as a speaker in the panel, which was chaired by Prof. Dr. Gülşen Seyhan Alışık, Head of the Department of Turkish Language and Literature, Marmara University.
The panel, in which they shared their work on the “Book of Dede Korkut, was followed with interest by academics and students.
