In his opening speech, Assoc. Prof. İrfan Paçacı said “ This panel constitutes one of the important stages of our cultural and scientific activities here. The digital age, journalism and social media intervene in all areas of life with digitalization and are included in all stages. Ersin Şiyhan; emphasizing the fact that sports journalism reached a global dimension with the developing technology, "Today, even in the most extreme countries in the world, sports has become a popular one, and football is most important in it. In such an environment, people cannot ignore it. " he said. Stressing that social media has good and bad sides, TRT Sports News Director Yusuf Mertol emphasized that social media should not direct journalists. Özgür Buzbas; although he is not a graduate of the Faculty of Communication, he said that he works fondly in this sector and the positive aspects of social media should be utilized. Evren Göz said that working as a media responsible in a club brings great gains to him in a professional way. He also argued that journalists lost their objectivity due to social media.
