Representing our country in 49 kg at the Para Powerlifting European Open Championship held in Tbilisi, Georgia, Muhammet Kaan Aktürk, who is a student at Sports Sciences Faculty Sports Management,  lifted 164 kg and became the Senior European Championship.

In the championsihp accompanied by athletes of the Turkish Physically Handicapped Sports Federation participated, Turkey won  6 Gold, 5 Silver and 5 Bronze medals, for a total of 16 medals.
