Marmara University Atatürk Education Faculty, Fine Arts Education Music Teaching Department held a commemoration ceremony in Göztepe Campus on Thursday, May 25, in memory of all academicians and students who have passed away.

After the death of Batuhan Çakmak, a 1st-year student at Atatürk Faculty of Education, Fine Arts Education Music Teaching Department, the ceremony,  which was held to commemorate both our esteemed student and all the university members who have passed away until today, was also attended by Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kurt.

The ceremony, which started with the planting of saplings that will be kept alive in memory of those we lost, ended with the songs that the students of the department under the direction of Lect. Dr.  Bülent Halvaşi sang in memory of their friends.

In addition to Prof. Dr. Mustafa  Kurt, Deputy Dean of Atatürk Faculty of Education Prof. Dr. Müge Yüksel, Music Teaching Department faculty members, students and staff were also present at the ceremony. 

We commemorate our lost teachers and students, who will live in the spiritual shadow of the two saplings planted with this meaningful ceremony, with respect, love and mercy.
