MarmaRUN, which will be held for the third time this year, is waiting for all sports lovers to run at 08.30 on Sunday, 17th October. The race, which could not be held last year due to the pandemic, offers a good alternative for those who miss the sportive events. The race, which will take place along the coast on the Anatolian Side, consists of a track of 9.5 km in total.
Organized by the Marmara University Alumni Office, the 3rd MarmaRUN Race track starts from Marmara University Anadolu Hisarı Campus, continues along the coast, and ends at Anadolu Hisarı Campus by returning from Çubuklu Pier. Applications for the race, which is open to everyone over the age of 18, can be submitted until Thursday, October 14th. The race, in which various awards will be given to the winners, is on its way to becoming a sports brand of Marmara University.
Stating that they are waiting for those who love doing sports and running at Anadolu Hisarı Campus on Sunday, Marmara University Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kurt wished that the race, which will be held with the participation of faculty members, alumni, students and all citizens, will be a good event for race lovers.
Expressing that this type of sport organization is very important in terms of bringing people together and contributing to their socialization, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kurt said that the 3rd MarmaRUN was a very good opportunity in terms of location to collect good memories and he also ran in the 1st and 2nd MarmaRUN.
The University's Alumni Office Coordinator Prof. Dr. Bülent Yılmaz, on the other hand, stated that they are trying their best so that the participants can have a nice weekend and leave with good memories, and that they are on the way to creating a brand.
