Marmara University Traditional Rectorate's Cup 2022's basketball branch opening match was held on February 23, 2022, at the Martyr Ömer Halisdemir Sports Hall with the participation of Vice-Rector Hasan Korkut. In the match, where the Faculty of Economics and Faculty of Engineering Basketball Teams met and there was intense audience participation, the representative kick-off was made by Vice-Rector Prof. Dr. Hasan Korkut and Dean of the Faculty of Economics Prof. Dr. Sadullah Celik.
