Ali Sofuoğlu and Sevil Baş who are students of the Faculty of Sports Sciences became champion in the 3rd European Universities Games held in Zagreb, Capital of Croatia. They competed in the category of  Individual Kata, Branch of Karate, in championship participated by 365 sportsman from 95 universities of 41 countries.

Under direction of Assoc. Prof. Aytekin Soykan, Faculty of Sport Sciences Karate Team completed the tournament in which Muhammet Ali Yılmaz finished in 3rd place with two gold and one bronze medal.
