Marmara University Took Its Place Among the Energy Academy Universities

Within the scope of the "Energy Academy Program Cooperation Protocol" between the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) and Elektrik Üretim A.Ş. (EÜAŞ), Marmara University took its place among the Energy Academy Universities. The protocol ceremony signed between CoHE President Prof. Dr. Erol Özvar Erol Özvar and EÜAŞ General Manager İzzet Alagöz was also attended by Marmara University  Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kurt.

In accordance with the Energy Academy Program Cooperation Protocol, projects will be carried out between Energy Academy Universities and EUAS for graduate programs in the field of energy such as Energy Engineering, Energy Systems Engineering, Nuclear Energy Engineering, Energy Science and Technology, Energy Management, Energy Economics, Energy Production, Energy Resources.

According to the protocol,  students who take part in the projects and graduated from a program can be employed at EÜAŞ within the framework of the regulations to which EÜAŞ is affiliated. The diploma to be awarded at the end of the program will provide the student with the same rights as the diplomas awarded by universities in graduate programs.

CoHE  President Prof. Dr. Erol Özvar emphasized in his speech that they attach importance to raising individuals with the qualifications required by the industry, with high application and skill competence, and to the creation of employment-oriented policies. Expressing that they want graduates to have the skills sought when they enter the job market, Özvar also explained that graduates should have advanced analytical and technical skills to adapt to changing conditions.

Expressing that he believes that the Energy Academy Postgraduate Education Program will contribute to the development and sustainability of EÜAŞ's technology and knowledge, Özvar said, “An applied technological project environment will also be provided to our universities and academicians within the scope of the protocol. We foresee that the projects within the scope of the protocol will increase the competitiveness of our country in the field of energy by contributing to the development of technologies that are valuable for the energy sector in Turkey."
