Marmara University Faculty of Pharmacy was accredited for the second time by the Association for Evaluation and Accreditation of Pharmacy Education Programs (ECZAKDER). The Accreditation Certificate presentation ceremony was held at Marmara University Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Complex, Başıbüyük Campus.

Marmara University Faculty of Pharmacy received its accreditation certificate, which is the quality certificate obtained from national and international independent institutions, for the first time between 2015-2021, by ECZAKDER. The ceremony for the presentation of the accreditation certificate, which will be valid between 2022-2028, was attended by   Marmara University Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kurt, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy Prof. Dr. Hatice Kübra Elçioğlu, President of ECZAKDER Seçkin Özden, Istanbul Chamber of Pharmacists President Şeker Pınar Özcan, Founder and First President of ECZAKDER Prof. Dr. Sevim Rollas and ECZAKDER Board Members.

Making the opening speech, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy Prof. Dr. Hatice Kübra Elçioğlu shared the history, developments and activities of the faculty and gave the good news of the MEFKO (Marmara Faculty of Pharmacy Student Congress) to be held this academic year. ECZAKDER President Prof. Dr. Seçkin Özden conveyed the establishment and activities of ECZAKDER to the participants in her speech. Rector Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kurt said, “I congratulate our Faculty of Pharmacy, which continues to add value to the science and profession of pharmacy with its academic studies, outstanding publication performance, patents, distinguished teaching staff, successful students and graduates, for this success.”

Mustafa Kemal Aydın, Student Representative of the Faculty of Pharmacy, talked about the contribution of the accreditation document to the students both in their undergraduate life and after graduation, and thanked them on behalf of all students. Şeker Pınar Özcan, President of the Istanbul Chamber of Pharmacists, on the other hand, once again congratulated Marmara University by talking about the importance of not only the establishment of faculties, but also the academic staff, supervision and accreditation.

The ceremony ended with the presentation of accrediation certificate by  ECZAKDER President Prof. Dr. Prof. Seçkin Özden to Rector of Marmara University Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kurt and Dean of Faculty of Pharmacy Prof. Dr. Hatice Kübra Elçioğlu.
