The opening speech of the program was made by Sinem Küçüközer, Head of Marmara Medical Students Association. After speech of Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Medicine  Prof. Dr.Ümit Şehirli about the meaning and significance of the day, Prof. Dr. Goncagül Haklar made a presentation titled "Female Doctors of the Young Republic". Professor Haklar gave information about the relationship between women and science and the areas in which women were educated in health. Professor Haklar, giving information about Dr. Safiye Ali and the  the doctors who are educated in Faculty of Medicine after the Republic,finished her words by expressing her gratitute to Mustafa Kemal Atatürk.
