"A Novel Hemp Reinforced Auxetic Structure to Develop Sustainable Wind Turbine", under supervision of Assoc. Prof.  Muhammet Uzun, was entitled to compete in the city of Atlanta, the capital city of Georgia, USA, by Samsun Atakum Anatolian Imam Hatip High School students Safa Merve Zehiroğlu and İclal Şeker. 1,140 projects from 63 countries participated in the Regeneron ISEF event, the world's largest high school science competition.  13 projects, which passed through 4 stages by TÜBİTAK, including preliminary evaluation, regional evaluation, final evaluation and determination of the participants in international project competitions, were entitled to participate in the Regeneron ISEF event.
