The event was organized by the School of Foreign Languages started with the opening speech of Prof. Dr. Harun Duman. Marmara Tömer students, all of them are foreigners, sang Turkish songs with local costumes and flags of their own countries, as well as local dances, they gave the audience pleasant moments.
110 students who came from 50 countries in October, 2018, to learn Turkish language and for an academic career in Turkey, sang Turkish, Russian, Kazakh, Arabic, Persian, Berber and Bengali songs. The audiences enjoyed this feast of intercultural performance held by students who sang “ Böyle Gelmiş Böyle Geçer” sing in the Arabic, Persian and Turkish language. The audience applauded the dancing of the Sudanese, Albanian and Palestinian students for a long time. At the end of the event, the students showed that the music and dance united the world in brotherhood and peace by performing Anatolian Folk dance together with the drum and zurna.
Prof. Dr. Harun Duman, emphasizing that such events are useful in terms of international students to learn Turkish culture as well as Turkish language, congratulated his students and wished them continued success.
