Head of Departments of Library and Documentation Lecturer Güssün Güneş Ph.D. will perform the chairmanship for 2 years at ANKOS Association which performs the activities in an attempt to associate to provide the most affordable price and the more e-resources access of university and research libraries, to share the investments made in these products in the framework of the scale economy, to carry out the ultimate access to global information network of the academicians and students in Turkey, and increase the support of the libraries to education and research.

ANKOS Association organizes national and international meetings, arranges educations, generates the policies and coordinate information services with the participation of shareholders carrying on a business at the area of the librarians, researchers, students, information officers, educators, archivists, and higher education and information science.

ANKOS provides important contributions to Turkish librarianship through systems that have developed and implemented and pioneers in the training of qualified professionals.  A group of Open Access and Corporate Archives (AEKA) was generated by ANKOS to ensure free access to public domain internet to the full text of scientific publications without the financial, legal, and technical barriers. The scope of the activities of this group, who made important contributions and leadership in all activities carried out in the open access areas continue to be offered in Turkey.
