As a result of the 2021 evaluations of the Golden Pen Doctoral Thesis Award, which is organized every year by the Marmara University Institute of Pure and Applied Sciences, Environmental Engineering Department Res. Assist. Dr. Hatice Yesil won first place by obtaining the highest evaluation score with the articles she published from her doctoral thesis titled "Selective Separation and Recovery of Heavy Metals from Sewage Sludge via Integrated Anaerobic Bio-Leaching and Membrane Processes", which was conducted under the supervision of Prof. Dr. A. Evren Tuğtaş.
