Director of the Center Prof.  Gülay Akgül Yılmaz Phd made the opening speech; "If 9% of our women are illiterate, if the participation rate of women is 32,8%, if the female employment rate is 28%, if the ratio of university and college graduated female is 13,1%, while about half of the population is female, If they are represented by 14%, 2.9% of the mayors, only 10% of the municipal council members are women, and there is discrimination culture against women in our country. This change of the table is possible with the formation of a gender equality culture in society. "

Higher Education Council Women's Studies In Academy Unit Executive Sezer Komsuoğlu's made a presentation titled "Women's Studies in the Academy" and presented data and demonstrations in our country that reveal gender discrimination against women at various levels. Prof. Komsuoglu's presentation emphasized the impact of women's participation in business life, politics, and social well-being.

At the panel, having been led by Prof. Münevver Turanlı as the Chair of the Session, Assoc. Prof. Yasemin Tümer Erdem PhD, Prof. Dr. Baki Asiltürk PhD  and Lecturer.İlknur Hacısoftaoğlu made presentations on respectively; the place of women in society in the historical process, role of the women in society and its reflection to literary texts and gender evaluation in various fields of sports.

After the panel,  Bronte Trio Haydn and Rachmaninoff were performed in the concert by Doğa Çetin , İdil Pulat , Nilüfer Yaşan.
