Within the  April Cancer Week, breast health training and breast self-examination (BSE) workshop was held for Ümraniye İnanç Türkeş Secondary School teachers and parents.

Held in the conference hall of İnanç Türkeş Secondary School on 5th April, the workshop titled "Don't be afraid, be aware, don't be late" was organized by Marmara University Vocational School of Health Services Medical Imaging Techniques Program and Breast Health Association (MEMEDER) Board member Assoc. Prof. Nuran Akyurt. 

With the education, it was aimed to use the results obtained with the advancement of technology and medicine more effectively, inform the public and raise awareness. In the workshop, Gülsüm Yıldırım and Medical Imaging Techniques Program 1st grade student Sezen Aydın showed the teachers and parents of İnanç Türkeş Secondary School how to perform breast self-examination in practice. An evaluation exam was held under the sponsorship of MEMEDER and awards were given to the winners.
