The panel on "Current Issues in the European Union and Their Reflections in Turkey" was held as one session on 10th May in Goztepe campus. Austria Commercial Attache Mag. Georg Karabaczek, Chairman of IKV Ayhan Zeytinoğlu,  Professor Sanem Baykal, Assoc. Prof. Çiğdem Nas, Assoc. Prof. Yonca Özer, Assoc. Prof. Münevver Cebeci, and Assoc. Prof.  Mesut Eren participated in the event.

The problems encountered in the European Union membership process, visa liberalization and revision of the Customs Union were addressed in the event. In addition, the necessity of reforming the institutional structure of the EU, the difficulty of  entrying  into the EU through the Brexit Process as well as the difficulty of existing the EU were discussed. Beside it is seen as a peace and cooperation project, structural problems EU experienced  in the context of current issuse and the extent to which the effective EU discourse can be applied were dealt with in the panel.

The event ended with answering of the questions.
