The activity started an opening speech of ESKAR Director Assoc. Esra Aliçavuşoğlu Ph.D., and continued as a piano concert Assoc. Hyun Sook Tekin presented her work of art.
After the concert, a panel, themed “A Woman, Design and Art”, under Moderator Assoc. Esra Aliçavuşoğlu Ph.D. was made with the participation of Prof. Burcu Pelvanoğlu Ph.D., Assoc. Seda Yavuz Ph.D., and Lecturer Jülide Arslan. At the panel, Prof. Burcu Pelvanoğlu Ph.D. has shown examples of her works painted by female painter Hale Asaf ( 1905-1938 ) in her short life with illnesses and struggles, and that despite the success she has gained in her original art technique and international arts, she could not reach the position the Asaf deserved as a female painter, after many years after his death he mentioned his works with interest and appreciation.
Assoc. Seda Yavuz Ph.D. told the bold female artist who continues to produce works despite the male-dominated society’s pressure throughout the history of art, drawing attention to the striking difference in the approach of women and men artists to the same theme in the historical process.
Last speaker Lecturer Jülide Arslan talked about women designers and original works in the history of World architecture and mentioned the problems encountered by women artist who has chosen design field today especially in an application area. After it ended with the discussion enriched by the comments and questions of Moderator Assoc. Esra Aliçavuşoğlu Ph.D., ESKAR Director Prof. Gülay Akgül Yılmaz Ph.D. thanked them fort he academic and administrative support they have given to actualization of the exhibition participate with the work of the exhibition. In addition, certificates of participation were given to Exhibition Coordinator Lecturer Lale Altunel Ph.D. and the participants contributing to the performance of the exhibition with their works. Design of the exhibition was held by Lecturer Mehmet Ali Müstecaplıoğlu.
The activity ended with the opening of the exhibition, in which the artists mentioned below participated invaluable works. This exhibition can be visited by all interested people until May 30, 2018.
