In the 5th Olleh International Smartphone Film Festival which was held in South Korea, Research Assistant Orçin Uzun, who is also the  Coordinator of Marmara Media Center Animation Unit, was awarded to the Special Jury Prize through the film he made.

Orçin Uzun took place in the festival, held on September 9, 2015 and in which smartphone-made films were only submitted, with his short film named “Taksim Kabataş Funicular Line” which is three minutes long. The musics of the film belongs to Ozan Gönen, who is fouth grade student at Marmara University, Faculty of Communication,  Department of Radio Television and Cinema. Also directing the film, Uzun participated in the festival via the Skype connection.

The film was created by blending of  rhythmic sounds of the subway. “Taksim Kabataş Funicular Line” was  also shown in Ankara International Short Film Festival.
