Not only Marmara University students; but also,this year, the event was open to secondary and high school students. General Coordinator Kadir Mert Simitçi and his deputy Bahadır Hakan Taşpınar stated that the main aim of the event was to unite the robotic technology with secondary and high schools.They stated that the effectiveness of robotic technology is common among university and they hope it will develop over time in Turkey in general.
They also stated that through the competitions and practices organized within the scope of the event, Robot Olympics also provide opportunities to learn software, put their knowledge into practice and create a network for students.
The projects competed in the categories Pacbot, Dark Lightning, Robotenis, Mini Sumo, Relay, Free and Land.
