The prizes of Woven Fabric Design Contest which  was organized for the third time by Mediterranean Textile and Raw Material Exporters’ Association (ATHIB)   found their  owners  with  the ceremony which was held on the night on 26 December 2014. Our university student Büşra BALOTA received  third degree with her “Mimosa Time” design and TIM Deputy Chairman  Mustafa Çıkrıkçıoğlu offered her  prize. 

Büşra BALOTA,  who graduated with the top student of the faculty and department in 2014 spring semester  from M.U.Fine Arts Faculty, Textile Arts Department, Branch of Weaving Art, studies for master degree. She is also working on a  double major in  interior architecture. With her previous designs, Balota won the TETSIAD Special Prize of  UTIM 4.Turkey Home Textile Design Contest Student Bed Category;  5.prize of  GAIB “Tasarlayın, Dokuyalım” 5. Carpet Design Contest and  first prize of IHIB 8. Carpet Design Contest. 

In the next steps of her career, she said that she wants to be a successful designer on global scale in the sector of home textile. She completed her press stage in Zorluteks Textile; her weaving stage in the Altınyıldız Mensucat and Clothing Factory;  her dressing stage in the Aydınlı Group Pierre Cardin. She also carries out the experimental weaving project at the weaving workshop with Prof.Günay ATALAYER who is still working in our university.
