Within the scope of Spring Seminars, the second of 11 seminars, which will be given by specialists of the field, was realized. The subject of the seminar was  "Syria and the Middle East in the Light of Recent Developments" which was delivered by Marmara University Dean of Faculty of Political Sciences Prof.Cengiz Tomar pHd.

First, Prof. Cengiz Tomar PhD displayed informative videos about the states, such as European, Asian and African geographies ,which were dominant from the earliest times, and the states of them over time. Then Prof. Tomar gave examples of how the political atmosphere of the region influenced the cities and the people of the region, comparing the photographs of the situation of the cities of Syria and the Middle East in the 1950s with those of the 2000s. Professor Tomar shared information about the the current situation in Syria and the Middle East today,  intervention of other countries and the place of Turkey in the present situation.  Prof. Cengiz Tomar PhD also answered the questions . After the seminar, Director of the Institute Prof Okan Yeşilot presented him a certificate of appreciation.
