17 academicians from Marmara University were ranked in the top 2 percent of scientists in the "World's Most Influential Scientists".
The updated list created by John P.A. Ioannidis and his research team from Stanford University according to the data of 2020, which ranks the most influential scientists in the world, was published by Elsevier on October 19, 2021. The selection is based on the top 100,000 by c-score or a percentile rank of 2 percent or above, taking into consideration the indicators such as the number of qualified publications, citations to publications, the number of h-index, hm-index. Scientists included in the top 2% of all scientists are classified into 22 departments and 176 sub-disciplines. In the "annual impact" category for 2020, 17 of our academics have been included among the most influential scientists in the world.
