"The World's Most Influential Scientists" list carried out by a commission consisting of scientists from the United States of America and Netherlands was published in the journal of PLOS Biology, the leading peer-reviewed academic literature platform. Scientists who are in the 2% percentile of the success ranking were included in the list named "World Top 2% Scientists".
Within the scope of the research, in the ranking created by examining the works of the 159.683 scientists throughout their career, 614 scientists from Turkey took place in the list. 11 scientists from Marmara University who managed to enter the list are as follows:

In the other ranking which 161.441 scientists were listed within the research that the 2019 year studies were examined, 13 of those scientists are from Marmara University.
