Sri Lanka-Turkey Relations Conference Was Held at Marmara University

“The History of Turkey-Sri Lanka Relations and Job Opportunities” conference organized by Marmara University Career Center Coordinator was held on 20 December 2021, at the  İbrahim Üzümcü Conference Hall.

In the event, which was held with the contribution of the Sri Lanka Embassy, ​​the opening speech was made by Prof. Dr. Berat Bir.  Dr. Zameer Careem, an instructor of the Sri Lanka Colombo University, shed light on the past of the two countries with his presentation on the historical relations and common heritage between Turkey and Sri Lanka. After the speech of Sri Lanka Ankara Ambassador Mohammed Rivzi Hassen on Sri Lanka-Turkey diplomatic and commercial affairs, Ambassador and Head of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey İskender K. Okyay made an eye-opening speech on career steps in the field of diplomacy.

The event, which was attended by a large audience, ended with the MEF University Lecturer and Energy Consultant Aydın Özü’s speech including also information about job opportunities for the Turkey-Sri Lanka energy sector.
