Marmara University was awarded the VCS (Verified Carbon Standard) certificate by supplying 30% of the energy it consumes from renewable energy sources.
Marmara University, which requested the energy distribution company SEPAŞ, with which it signed a contract last year, to send the energy from renewable power plants, received the VCS certificate, which provides to reduce carbon emissions in accordance with world standards.
Certified by the energy organization VERRA, Marmara University contributed to the reduction of carbon emissions by 30 percent, thanks to its sensitive attitude towards the environment.
The Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Complex, which was opened for education and training this year, also stands out as a center that produces its own energy and has the feature of a green campus.
