Hosted by Marmara University, the "10th National Botanical Congress" took place this year between 13-15 September 2023 in the Faculty of Science Conference Hall. The Tenth National Botanical Congress, which was attended by nearly 40 scientific committee members from various universities in Turkey and became a platform to share research in the field of plant science in Turkey, was held face to face.

In her opening speech, Prof. Dr. Filiz Vardar, who is the President of the Congress and also the Head of the Biology Department of Marmara University Faculty of Science, said, "The aim of our congress is to create a scientific environment where all professional groups doing research on plants will share their academic experiences" and talked about the aims of the congress. Vardar continued her speech saying "Considering the importance of multidisciplinary studies today, we believe that such an environment will play a role in laying the foundations of new studies by bringing together researchers from different fields."
