A workshop was held with the participation of Cihat Başpehlivan and one staff of the Construction Affairs and Technical Department, where the "Marmara University Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Complex" Zoning Plan and Zoning Implementation studies were evaluated.

Within the scope of the protocol signed between our university and the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of National Defense, and the Housing Development Administration, on April 11, 2016,  the plan studies on the land allocated to our rectorate, formerly known as "General Kenan Evren Barracks" and new name "Marmara University Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Complex", started in 2018. 1/100,000 scaled Environmental Plan, 1/5000 scale Master zoning plan, 1/1000 scaled zoning implementation plan were suspended on 13/09/2019 and entered into force.

Our Zoning Implementation Plan is extremely environmentally friendly, it has been prepared by protecting the creek approach areas and flood areas requested by İSKİ, and by providing the necessary infrastructure area. While the precedent is up to 3 in the surrounding parcels, the precedent area of ​​the Kulliye is limited to 0.60.

After the workshop, our Secretary-General  Dr. Murat Arısal thanked Branch Manager Dr. Serpil  Keçeli and Cihat Başpehlivan for their contributions to the planning process. A certificate of appreciation was presented to Cihat Başpehlivan by Dr. Murat Arısal.
