Nanostructured Biomaterials Repairing Damaged Neorons Are Produced In Our University

The results of the research carried out by our Nanotechnology Center show that nanostructured biomaterial obtained from bacterias is able to connect the neuron axons with each others by repairing the neorons. The research was published with the title of “Bioinspired Scaffold Induced Regeneration of Neural Tissue” by the European Polymer Journal.

The study was patented by Turkish Patant and Trademark Office, without extending beyond national borders . With  the number of 2016/15825, the research obtained a utility model right  for its invention titled “Bioinspired Scaffold Induced Regeneration of Neural Tissue”.
